Death of a Cellsman

I’m not at all sure I like the idea of being colonised (pun intended) by countless bacteria in my gut. Or, indeed, elsewhere in and on my body. It is of no comfort that such organisms die off in their millions, and are replaced. It is of no comfort that such apparent freeloaders, it is alleged, are necessary for my good overall health. Moreover, I’m led to believe that my own cells are constantly kicking the bucket and being replaced such that I am not the same man, literally, I was a few years ago.

What’s all that about?
